Creating a Multi-Genre Website for Author A.D. Trosper

We’re excited to show you our new website design for award-winning author A.D. Trosper. All of our websites are custom designs. And when we say custom we mean custom. We don’t use a template and “customize” that. We start with a blank page and create each site from scratch.

The challenge was to create a website that represented the varied genres A.D. Trosper writes. Rather than focus on the genre, we focused on her author brand and incorporated the series and genres around it. Since we design everything for A.D. Trosper and she is a BHC Author this was an easy task.

The Home Page—This is one of our favorite pages on the site. We created a slideshow featuring ads for her latest titles and audio books. The three slider ads are shown below. New ads are designed as needed.

The Book Pages—These are the pages we built around each genre’s books. There are three book pages (soon to be four). Each page is designed to match the current title and contains book descriptions, previews, buy links, and more. Below are two sample pages from the website.

The Dragon’s Call Novels Page

The Bound Novels Page

The Fan Page—Something we include on all of our author websites is the fan page. They vary in complexity from author to author but they all contain free, fun items for fans as a thank you. For A.D. Trosper’s site we included desktop wallpapers, phone wallpapers, the map of Galdrilene that we designed for the Dragon’s Call series, a downloadable poster for Tears of War, and much, much more. It’s a fun page to explore and fans can look forward to new items on a regular basis.
